The iRush has been going on for 18 months now. How do startups and mature businesses get into the game?
Like all businesses, you need to combine business, marketing and technology. This talk will cover all three of these areas.
The technology is straightforward but unfamiliar. Your development team will need to handle multiple new technologies: Objective-C, a GPS, a compass, Wi-Fi, OpenGLES and an accelerometer. This will take some time. The heady days of publishing an app and selling oodles of software are waning. There are just too many apps at too low a price on the App Store. A savvy business will try to sell their app to targeted markets. The App Store will distribute your apps but you have to crete demand. And finally, your business will need to be ready for the combination of both shrink-wrapped software customer support and a web engagement.
These are all challenges. But they have straightforward solutions. This talk will give an overview of these issues.
