Robin JohnsonChief Information Officer, Dell, Inc.Robin Johnson serves as Dell's chief information officer (CIO). As CIO, Mr. Johnson's responsibilities span Dell's global information systems and technology infrastructure.Mr. Johnson joined Dell Europe in May 2005 as IT Vice President for Europe, Middle East and Africa and most recently served as vice president, Global Tailor & Sell. Prior to joining Dell, Mr. Johnson spent four years as Group Vice President for Safeway Inc, one of the largest food retailers servicing North America with more than 1,750 stores and five different brand-name formats in the United States and Canada. He was responsible for all applications development and support for the corporation. Mr. Johnson also brings several years consulting experience having worked for Cap Gemini Ernst & Young consulting services for seven years at a variety of name brand clients in both the U.S. and Europe. He began his 20-year career in IT with Marks & Spencer in London. Mr. Johnson was educated in England and holds an HND in Computer Science as well as several management and industry qualifications. He has been a member of several advisory boards to technology companies, most recently in the data warehousing arena. |
