Speaker Bios

Les Fahey, Fahey Ventures LLC, is a business advisor to emerging growth technology companies.  His advisory services include assisting with business formation, business plan review, financing assistance, and development of management teams and boards. Since starting Fahey Ventures, Companies Les has assisted have raised over $100 Million in Capital. He is currently serving as Board Chair for Daverci Solutions, Inc.  Prior to starting Fahey Ventures, Les was a tax partner for KPMG LLP for 20 years.  He founded KPMG’s Oregon Technology practice in 1980 and grew it to a clear leadership position in the Oregon market.  Les has assisted numerous companies in their business development, several of which have gone public. 

Les has been actively involved in helping build the Oregon high tech infrastructure.  He helped found the Software Association of Oregon and has served on their Board and chaired the Portland Chapter dinner meetings.  He has served on the American Electronics Association, Oregon Council executive committee, chaired their membership and emerging business committee, and helped start the AeA’s Oregon Technology Benchmarks project.  He also helped start the Oregon Entrepreneur Forum, chaired the OEF Board, and founded and chaired Venture Oregon for its first six years.  In addition, Les started KPMG’s popular high tech breakfast program in the early 1980’s.

He serves on the Board of Directors of the Portland Family of Funds, Portland Screw Company and the Portland International Conference on Management of Engineering and Technology.  He is a Board Member of the YMCA Teen Division, which helps high school age youth that are at risk. He serves on the Board of the Entrepreneurs Foundation of the Northwest.  He also chaired the Portland State University Accounting Alumni Committee, and serves on the Board of the Portland State University Capital Campaign, The PSU Foundation, and the advisory Committee to the PSU MBA Program.

Les serves co-chair with his wife Nancy of the Small Church Community at Saint Juan Diego Parish. He is a Trustee for the Mount Angel Abbey Foundation and chairs the Community Relations Committee. 

Les has a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Portland State University and is a C.P.A.  He and his wife, Nancy, have two sons, Matt and Jay, and five grandchildren, Dakota, Bailey, Isabella, Ian and Eathan. Les enjoys sports, including running, working out, golf and fishing.
