Rich Bader

President and Chief Executive Officer, EasyStreet Online Services
Rich and his team at EasyStreet have built Oregon's largest independent Internet and IT services provider by focusing on the needs of local businesses and delivering reliable service day in and day out.

After earning his BSEE from Northeastern University, Rich gathered a depth of experience in the high-tech industry, beginning at Digital Equipment in the '70s. He relocated to Oregon in 1978 to join Intel, where he was founder and co-general manager of the Personal Computer Enhancement Operation, which launched Intel into the personal computer end-user marketplace.

Rich recharged his batteries after leaving Intel in 1990 by playing with state-of-the-art products and writing about them for Stewart Alsop's PC Letter, a newsletter widely read by leaders in the personal computer industry. That led to four years as a consultant, assisting companies such as Intel, HP and Microsoft develop business plans and products. Then the Internet happened. Tired of traveling away from his family and looking to become more of a contributor to the region he loves, EasyStreet was conceived and launched in 1995.

Fourteen successful years later, EasyStreet ranked as one of Oregon's top 10 technology companies on the Portland Business Journal's 2008 Most Admired Companies list. It also made the publication's list of Fastest Growing Private 100 Companies and Top 25 Technology Service Providers.

A popular speaker at industry events, Rich is the driving force behind EasyStreet's growth and success. His rare blend of broad technological expertise and entrepreneurial spirit have made him a guiding light in the Oregon high-tech community. His current contributions include:

Board Member, Oregon Innovation Council
Chair, Oregon InC. Capital and Business Formation Committee
Board Member, Oregon Growth Account
Board Member, Software Association of Oregon (SAO)
Technical Advisor, Oregon Telecommunications Coordinating Council
