Dana BostromDirector Innovation & Industry Alliances, Portland State UniversityDana Bostrom holds masters degrees in communication and information science, and previously coached competitive intercollegiate speech and debate. She worked at the University of Washington’s technology transfer office for over 6 years, specializing in software patents, database, trademark and digital media licensing. She also served as Lead Instructor for and taught in the University of Washington Educational Outreach’s Certificate Program in Intellectual Property Management. In 2005, Bostrom moved to the University of California, Berkeley to join a new office designed to integrate industry relations through better links between industry sponsored research, intellectual property licensing, and gift activities. In 2007, Bostrom joined Portland State University as PSU's first Director for Innovation & Industry Alliances.Bostrom was Vice President of Metrics & Surveys for the Association of University Technology Managers through February 2008. Bostrom frequently speaks at AUTM events on intellectual property rights management, and patent, copyright and trademark licensing and management. |
