David Hersh CEO, Jive Software David Hersh began his career as a strategy and change management consultant at VIA International in Chicago and London. While at VIA, his responsibilities included strategic planning, oversight, and implementation of company wide knowledge management initiatives for companies like Ernst & Young, Barclays Bank and KPMG, including a long stint to Hewlett Packard on their Worldwide Information Management Strategy. In 1999, Dave joined 4charity, an internet company focused on software for non-profits, in the role of CFO and product strategist. Since 2001, Dave has been the CEO at Jive Software, where he has taken the company from a small open source project to an Inc. 500 company with annual growth rates of 100% without ever raising any outside investment. Dave lives with his wife and two kids in Portland and holds a BA in Economics from DePauw University.
