Peter Imbres

Senior Vice President, Hill & Knowlton, Digital Practice

Peter is a Senior Vice President with H&K’s digital practice, which focuses on providing creative and strategic digital counsel  to our clients across all PR disciplines.  Peter and the H&K digital team work with clients to develop creative communications campaigns that leverage digital channels, such as wireless, blogs and podcasts, to drive conversations and build communities.  Peter brings a wealth of experience in social media and community building, as well as the perspective of someone from a multi-disciplinary media background.

Peter has more than 10 years experience in PR, media analysis and interactive services, spanning several industries and practice areas.

Prior to joining the digital group at H&K, Peter headed up client services at Affinitive, a word-of-mouth marketing firm that specializes in social media and integrated online communities.  His work included award winning campaigns for entertainment brands like Universal Pictures, Capitol Records and Ubisoft, as well innovative efforts for leading consumer brands like General Motors and Cingular.

Before shifting his focus to interactive media, Peter launched the competitive analysis practice at Competitrack, a media tracking firm.  After focusing on the telecom industry and building a client list that included AT&T, Verizon, Time Warner and DIRECTV, to name a few, he expanded the group into the automotive and beverage industries.

Peter’s career began in PR at Weber Shandwick, where he handled a daily C-level competitive analysis for Microsoft’s Interactive Media Group and managed Sharp Electronics’ product loan program.  Other work in PR included projects with PR21/Edelman, LaForce & Stevens and Middleberg & Associates.

Peter has a BA in English and a minor in Writing from Ithaca College.  He has sat on several media-oriented panels and volunteers in interactive educational programs in New York City.
